
Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act
Congress enacted the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) in August 2008. The law sets a number of new requirements for all consumer products. These include new testing and certification requirements and content limits for lead and phthalates.
Some general information about the CPSIA:
To implement the CPSIA, the CPSC has initiated a number of rulemaking proceedings.
