ISPA’s mission is to protect and enhance the growth, profitability and stature of the mattress manufacturing industry. One of our strategic objectives for fulfilling that mission is to influence government actions to achieve industry policies.”
ISPA members can influence government action best by becoming involved in the democratic process. To help make that involvement more effective, ISPA’s Government Relations Committee has developed several tools to inform members about legislative and regulatory issues that may affect their business and to provide suggestions on how best to communicate your position to elected officials and regulators.
To inform you about issues of industry concern and ISPA’s position on those issues, the Government Relations Committee has developed the following series of position papers:
These papers are intended to provide members with useful background information and analysis on these issues and to help facilitate individual member’s contacts with their Senators, Representatives and other officials. Combined with regular legislative updates through BedTimes and BedTimes Bulletin, these papers will help members support ISPA’s advocacy messages in a consistent and coordinated manner.
The Government Relations Committee will add to and update these papers as other issues arise or circumstances change. Members are encouraged to provide input on the topics discussed in these papers as well as to suggest other advocacy issues that ISPA should consider.
