Contract and Copy Regulations

  1. Contracts and insertion orders must be submitted in writing. All oral instructions regarding contracts, insertion orders or artwork preparation must be confirmed in writing prior to the press date of issue affected.

  2. Ad material extensions will be granted at BedTimes' discretion. However, BedTimes will accept no responsibility for production errors on material received after the official deadline of the fifth. When ad material is not received by the specified closing date (or granted extension date), BedTimes reserves the right to repeat the last ad or, if no such ad is available, to publish in the reserved space the advertiser's known name and address.

  3. Advertisers will be short-rated at prevailing rates if, within a 12-month contract period, they do not use the amount of space upon which their billings were based. Advertisers will be rebated if, with the 12-month contract period, they have used sufficient additional space to put them into another frequency category.

  4. Each unit of advertising space used in an advertisement composed of multiple units counts as an insertion toward earning a frequency rate. Scheduled advertising composed of mixed space units are entitled to frequency for each unit with the exception of a mixed schedule in which the use of either the smaller or the smallest unit lowers the cost of the campaign below the amount at which the larger units taken along would cost.

  5. Advertising is subject to publisher's approval. Advertiser and agency shall be liable for all content. Advertising which simulates editorial content must include the word "advertisement" above the ad.

  6. New rates will be announced at least 30 days before publication of the first issue affected by the new rates. Advertisers under contract at the time the new rates are announced will be billed at new rates only after their previous contract expires.

Terms

  1. BedTimes invoices within 15 days of publication of advertisements. All invoices are payable upon receipt.
  2. Non-payment within 30 days of date of invoice will result in loss of agency commission and could result in refusal of future advertising. All advertisers ultimately are responsible for the payment of all advertising invoices.
  3. BedTimes reserves the right to make credit history inquiries for new accounts. BedTimes reserves the right to require advance payment from advertisers and agencies who have established no credit record with BedTimes or its publishers (International Sleep Products Association), those whose credit information is negative or those who have abused their credit privileges.
