Government Relations Committee

Charge: The purpose of the International Sleep Products Association’s Government Relations Committee (GRC) is to recommend to the ISPA Board of Trustees policies and strategies for addressing legislation, regulations, and other government activities that affect the mattress manufacturing community.

The GRC shall consist of a minimum of eight (8) members, representing mattress manufacturers and components suppliers.  Members of the Committee, appointed by the ISPA Chair, shall serve staggered two (2) year terms and may not serve more than six (6) consecutive years.  A GRC Chair shall be appointed by the ISPA Chair, the term not to exceed two (2) years.  The immediate GRC Past Chair shall remain as an ex-officio member of the Committee.

Action oriented task groups may be created as needed by the GRC Chair in order to carry out specific projects.  The GRC will meet as needed in order to effectively address the advocacy needs of the Association.  Its efforts will be directed in support of the priority issues as approved by the ISPA Board.
