Mattress manufacturers and renovators operating in Missouri will no longer need to register with the state and obtain a permit.  But they will still need to label their products as to whether they contain new or secondhand material, and used and renovated bedding will still need to be sanitized.  The Missouri legislature dropped the registration requirement as part of a broader effort to remove numerous “unfunded mandates” from existing law.  Missouri Governor Jay Nixon (D) is expected to sign the measure.
