Earlier this year, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) proposed several changes to its requirements for Certificates of Compliance. CPSC has announced a workshop to be held on September 18, 2014, focusing on these proposed changes. Specifically, the workshop will focus on the CPSC’s proposal “to require electronic filing of certificates for regulated imported consumer products with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the time of filing the CBP entry or the time of filing the entry and entry summary, if both are filed together.”  The meeting will be held at the CPSC in Bethesda, MD and will also be webcast.
